Vidar Ericsson

Vidar Ericsson, born and raised in Örebro, attended Gothenburg Art School from 2017 to 2019, and are currently pursuing fine art studies at Kunsthøgskolen in Oslo

Vidar’s motifs are abstract, often imbued with a certain sense of landscape—landscapes that are artificial, places that lack specificity. Vidar focuses on atmosphere and the choice of colors.

His approach to work is intuitive and open, sometimes controlled in alternation. Vidar embraces chance, welcoming it and then processing it.

Occasionally, he delve into more spatial work, combining sculpture, collage, and installation. However, even in these instances, color and painting remain the primary carriers of content.
