SKOG is an art space on Galgeberg in Oslo established in the Autumn of 2022. We actively prioritize exhibitions with material-based art and newly established artists. We believe this makes an important contribution to Oslo's art scene. Our aim is to create a vibrant and unconventional art space in Oslo's East End.
We believe that it is particularly important to give newly established artists access to exhibition venues. We therefore prioritize this group in our exhibition and residence program. At the same time, newly established and more experienced artists need to exchange knowledge across generations and professional fields. We therefore actively facilitates this interaction through networks and exhibitions. We often program a newly established and a more experienced artist in the same exhibition.
The people behind SKOG: SKOG is built on the shoulders of Skogen design, which was run by Brian Noguera-Gabrielli and Kim Noguera Gabrielli for many years. Today, SKOG´s board consists of Ane Kristine Djupedal, Brian Noguera-Gabrielli, Kim Noguera Gabrielli, Felipe M Djupedal, Ebbe Arneberg, Paola Simone, Tonje Plur og Benjamin Apse. Our board consists of working artists, people with broad board expertise, finance and communication backgrounds, as well as backgrounds from architecture, design, the United Nations and non-profit organisations.
