Sofie Brønner

Sofie Brønner (born in 1991, Tynset) lives and works in Oslo, where she is educated at the Academy of Fine Art and Oslo School of Photography. She works with sculpture and photography, often using unexpected material combinations such as wood, textiles, bath bombs, and iron filings. Thematically, Brønner is interested in relationships, cycles, and textures, creating works with organic forms that stem from a multifaceted understanding of the body: as consciousness, as a feedback loop, as a strange alien-like creature.
