Per Hess (b. 1946) is a Norwegian visual artist based in Oslo, primarily working with neon lights and installations. Hess graduated from the National Academy of Craft and Art Industry (1970-73) and the National Academy of Fine Arts in Oslo (1973-79). He has previously exhibited at venues including Oslo Kunstforening, Unge Kunstneres Samfund, Galleri LNM, Buskerud Kunstsenter, the Autumn Exhibition, and the Venice Biennale. Hess's works have been acquired by the National Museum and the Norwegian Public Art Agency (KORO), and he has undertaken numerous public art commissions in Norway, including at the Institute of Informatics, University of Oslo, and Rikshospitalet in Oslo. As a consultant and curator, he has been involved in the realization of more than 70 art projects throughout Norway.
