Mari Eriksen

Mari Eriksen (b.1995) is an established artist and graduate from Kunstakademiet in Oslo. She works primarily with installations and performance. In Eriksen’s studio Atelier Open she sells drawings, embroideries and other objects. Through Eriksen’s set of materials she hopes to convey a feeling of that something is at stake. Eriksen works with different materials to capture ideas on what reality is. She approaches her work with an imprecise and improvised method. Eriksen is also interested in the idea on what happens to an artwork when it goes from the privacy of the artist’s studio to the public space.
